Knut the Collar

Knut the Collar is worked flat on circular needles from the back piece and up, with an opening for the neck, and then worked down over the front piece. Stitches are picked up around the neck edge to form the collar, which is then folded inwards and sewn in place. The techniques Italian cast-on and Italian bind-off are used in the pattern.

Size: approx. 1 (2) years

Measurements: width shoulder measurement approx. 20 (24) cm

Gauge: 26 stitches x 34 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 3.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm

Suggested needle size: Circular needle 3.5 mm 60 cm, circular needle 3.5 mm 40 cm or double-pointed needles 3.5 mm for the collar. Possibly a straight needle (jumper needle) 3.5 mm for the Italian cast-on, to facilitate the cast-on.

Yarn: 100 g Isager eco baby knitted together with 50 g Isager alpaca 1
