Maria the Beanie

Maria the Beanie is a warm and comfortable hat, worked from the bottom up. Italian cast on is used in order to create a nice cast on edge, starting with two rows of double knitting, worked flat, back and forth. After these two rows, the beanie is worked in the round.

Sizes: S (M) L

Measurements: Corresponds to a head circumference of 53-55 (56-58) 59-62  cm

Gauge: 26 stitches x 28 rows in rib, worked in the back loops, on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needle size: Circular needle 4 mm 40 cm, Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) 4 mm

To make the Italian cast on easier, you can use a straight needle (Jumper needle) 4 mm

Yarn: 100 (100) 150 g Isager Jensen Yarn together with 25 (25) 50 g Isager Silk Mohair

The light beanie is knitted with Isager Jensen color 0s together with Isager Silk mohair color 0

The brown beanie is knitted with Isager Jensen color 8s together with Isager Silk mohair color 7s

In the second picture , the beanie is knittef with Isager Jensen color 7s together with Isager Silk mohair color7s
