The Bengt Pants

The Bengt Pants are high-waisted pants that are worked in the round from top to bottom. The back of the pants is worked higher, using short rows with the German Short Rows technique. The legs are worked in the round, separately. To give the cuffs a nice edge, Italian bind-off is used. Finally,  stitches are picked up at the back of the pants to make suspenders. 

Size: approx. 0-3 mo (3-6 mo) 6-9 mo (9-12 mo) 1-2 yr

Gauge: 28 stitches x 38 rows in stockinette stitch on needles

3 mm = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needle size: Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) 2,5 mm and 3 mm,

Circular Needles 3 mm 40 cm and 2,5 mm 40 cm

Yarn: 125 (125) 150 (150-175) 175 g Compatible Cashmere from Knitting for Olive (held double) or 100 (100) 100 (100-150) 150 g Merino from Knitting for Olive (worked with one thread)

The grey pant are knitted in Compatible Cashmere in the colour slate gray

The blue pants are knitted in Compatible Cashmere in teh colour Navy blue

The brown pants are knitted in Compatible Cashmere in the colour Bark

In the picture with the grey pants, the little one is 10 months old and wears size 1-2 years

The little one in the picture with the blue and brown pants is almost 9 months old and is 74 cm tall and the blue pants he is wearing are size 9-12 months, the brown pants he is wearing are 6-9 months (in the first two pictures the little one is 13 months old and can still wear size 6-9 months)
