Knut the Beanie

Knut the Beanie, is worked from the bottom up. Italian cast on is used in order to create a nice cast on edgestarting with two rows of double knitting, worked flat, back and forth. After these two rows, the hat is worked in the round with double pointed needles.

Sizes: approx. 1-4 months (4-9 months) 9-24 months

Measurements: Corresponds to a head circumference of 40-42 (44-46) 48-50 cm

Gauge: 26 sts x 34 rows in stockinette stitch on

3.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needle size: Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)3.5 mm

To make the cast on easier you can use a straight needle (Jumper needle) 3.5 mm for the Italian Cast On.

Yarn: 50 g Isager Eco Baby worked together with 

50 g Isager Alpaca 1
